All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief, Badruddin Ajmal, unleashed a barrage of criticism against the Assam government vowing to escalate his efforts to implement transformative initiatives that will keep Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma “sleepless.”
Ajmal’s scathing remarks came in response to the recent Assam budget presentation, which he labeled as “election-oriented” and accused the government of offering mere “lollipops” to the people of Assam. He asserted that the BJP government’s slogan of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ translates to ‘Sabka Vikas Sabka Satyanas’ (everyone’s destruction) alleging a lack of substantive progress under the current administration.
“I will continue to undertake initiatives that will leave the Chief Minister tossing and turning at night,” said Ajmal, highlighting his commitment to educational reforms and social welfare programs. He cited the success of the Ajmal Foundation in facilitating the entry of 800 students into medical colleges and pledged to extend this opportunity to an additional 500 students, further challenging the status quo.
Refuting allegations of engaging in political maneuvers, Ajmal stated his focus on education and community development. He condemned recent derogatory remarks made by Pijush Hazarika demanding an apology for disparaging comments directed at Muslim women.
Turning his attention to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Ajmal exuded confidence in securing victory in Dhubri, citing support from the local populace and invoking divine providence. He dismissed the notion of any credible rival in the electoral fray asserting his dominance in the political arena.
In response to queries regarding the ongoing farmers’ protests, Ajmal criticized the Delhi government’s approach, accusing it of neglecting the welfare of farmers and exacerbating the agrarian crisis.
