A suspected gold smuggler was arrested in Assam’s Dhubri district. The gold smuggler was arrested by police in Golakganj by the police in a special operation upon recieving a tip off. Eight gold bars have been seized from the alleged gold smuggler in the operation.

The arrested person has been identified as Ainal Haq and is a resident of the Bhokdanga village near the Indo-Bangladesh border. The person was enroute Gauripur on his motorcycle when police intercepted him and arrested him. 

The person is curently under arrest and has been taken into custody. Police are suspecting a major gold smuggling racket along the Indo-Bangladesh border.
